    Microsoft Xbox 360 consoles are manufactured with several USB ports on the front and rear of the machine. You can plug in an external USB memory source and copy important player profile data and game saves to the USB device using the Xbox 360's built-in main menu or "Dashboard." Copying game data to a PC from your Xbox 360 via a USB flash drive will take about five minutes.

    Instructions

    Things You'll Need:

    * USB memory device

    Plug the USB stick into a free USB port on the Xbox 360. Turn the machine on and wait for the Dashboard to load fully. Move the analog stick to the right and press "A" when the "System" tab is highlighted to select it.

    Scroll down the list and select "Memory" by pressing the "A" button again. Select "Xbox Hard Drive" and the Dashboard will display a list of all player profiles, game saves, and other system data stored on the console's hard drive. Select the items you wish to copy by pressing "A" then select "USB Memory Device."
    #

    The console will begin copying the files you selected from the machine's hard drive to the USB device. Allow the copy process to complete then turn off the console. Your Xbox 360 data files will be copied to the USB stick and can be accessed on any PC by plugging the device into a USB port.
