    Port Forwarding - Step by Step





    To Manually Forward the Port



    1) Set a static INTERNAL IP Address: [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

    2) Choose a single port in the unassigned range: 49152 - 65535

    3) Manually open the port in the router:

    4) Check to see if the modem needs forwarded:

    5) Open any and all Firewalls for the torrent client & the specific port:

    6) Change the Torrent client settings to a static single port, the port you manually forwarded.

    µTorrent > Options > Preferences > Connection >

    • Enter the Port forwarded at "Port used for incoming connections"



    7) Disable Randomize Port, Disable UPnP , and Disable NAT-PMP

    µTorrent > Options > Preferences > Connection >

    • UN-Check ”Randomize port each time µTorrent starts"

    • UN-Check ”Enable UPnP port mapping"

    • UN-Check ” Enable NAT-PMP port mapping"



    8) Disable DHT, Local Peer Discovery and Peer Exchange

    µTorrent > Options > Preferences > Bittorrent >

    • UN-Check "Enable DHT"

    • UN-Check "Enable DHT for new torrents"

    • UN-Check "Enable Local Peer Discovery"

    • UN-Check "Enable Peer Exchange"
