If you had to re-install your windows you got IT.
If you downloaded a certain windows update by mistake, you got IT.
You have the "This Copy of Windows is not Genuine" nagging thing when starting up and randonmly popping when working.
If you don't know how to get rid of it, here's how I did so for myself;
(some steps may not be required however I have done this method twice and it worked)
First:
Start > Run
Enter the following then hit OK:
cmd /c "del %windir%system32wgatray.exe"
Start > Run
Enter the following then hit OK:
cmd /c "del %windir%system32WGAlogon.dll"
Start > Run
Enter the following then hit OK:
cmd /c "rmdir /s /q %windir%SoftwareDistributionDownload6c4788c9549d437e76e1773a7639582a"
Once you did that, go to this link: WGA Fix
Copy the text you see on that page and paste it into a new notepad document.
Save the notepad document as wgafix.bat {don't forget to save it as a .bat}
Run wgafix.bat by double clicking on it. It will perform certain task and tell you to press any key to continue. The command window will close and you're almost done!
Turn Off your computer then Start it up again. You should be rid of the Genuine piece of s**t.
Final step; it will tell you Updates are ready and offer you to install the Windows Validation Tool; SAY NO and tell him not to warn you about this update again. And your done!!
