This Wii tutorial will guide you through the process of copying a Mii from your WiiMote to your PC in order to save it or send it to a friend over the net.
Requirements
1. WiiMote Data Management Library aka WDMA for MiiTransfer - Download
2. PC with Bluetooth capability (Microsoft Bluetooth Stack preferably) If your Bluetooth adapter does not use the MS stack, you can try to change the driver.
How to change your Bluetooth Drivers
1. Open Device Manager and goto your Bluetooth adapter.
2. Right click and select Properties.
3. Click on the Driver tab and choose Update Driver.
4. Select the Install from a list option then choose Do Not Search...I Will Choose a Driver To Install.
5. Uncheck the Show Compatible Hardware box and find the Microsoft Bluetooth Stack in the list of drivers.
6. Select Microsoft Bluetooth Stack and press Next until it has finished installing.
Note: You may need to reboot your PC to complete the installation.
Detecting the WiiMote on a BlueTooth enabled PC
If your Bluetooth adapter is correctly installed, you will have a Bluetooth icon in your taskbar tray.
Now, open the application or right click and select the Bluetooth Connection Wizard.
Select Search For Bluetooth Devices or Add A Device depending on your software.
1. Press the 1 & 2 buttons on your Wiimote. The blue lights on your controller should start to blink.
2. Once the Bluetooth software has detected your controller, continue to install it. If prompted for a passcode, press Skip or select Do Not Use a Passcode With This Device.
Note: You may need to press 1 & 2 on the controller again to complete the synchronization.
Your Wiimote should now be connected to your PC via Bluetooth!
